Newsflash:
Stag Programmers acquired by Waterside
On 3rd May 2002 Waterside
Solutions Group acquired the assets of Stag Programmers Ltd. A new company,
Stag International Ltd., has been created by Waterside to support and
sell the full range of products previously sold by Stag Programmers.
Stag International
will be based in the same premises in Welwyn Garden City, and takes over
Stag Programmers' role as Europe's leading provider of device
programmers for all engineering and production applications. With
over 10,000 devices already supported, Stag International will continue
to develop algorithms for all new devices launched onto the world market.
Stag was started
in the mid-seventies to provide programmers for programmable devices being
launched onto the market. Through
continuous investment in research and development, it has stayed at the
forefront of technological developments to provide the fastest and most
versatile range of programmers - the P803 gang programmer, for example,
is several times faster than most comparable products available today.
General Manager of
Stag International Elgan Howell comments, "Waterside Solutions is providing
the resources and commercial support needed to develop Stag International
Ltd into a stronger supplier of advanced programming products. We have
always led the market in technology, and now we will be able to exploit
that lead internationally with better sales and marketing."
Chairman of
the Waterside Solutions Group John Davis observed: "the addition of Stag
International to the Group continues our strategy of acquiring and developing
high quality niche companies in the electronics sector. Our interests
spread across industrial automation hardware and software products, contract
electronics manufacturing and now device programmers."
